The Artistry of M K Sarie
Welcome to Simply Brie's World of Art!
I hope you enjoy your visit to my world of Art. I have always had the urge to draw, and I don't remember a time when I didn't have something in my hands creating something. Whether it be a pencil, a crayon, or simple wooden blocks, I always ended up with some sort of "masterpiece" no matter how awful it was!
Being left-handed also created its own challenges, whether it be the simple turning of a door knob (it is different for a left-hander), or trying to figure out how to "correctly" create Old English Lettering (do they even teach that anymore? - now it's called 'font').
I believe being left-handed has allowed me to explore other possibilities instead of being expected to stay "inside the box". I remember in fifth grade, my teacher, Miss Allen (it was her very first year as a teacher) asked me if I wanted to skip recess and stay inside to continue working on my drawing. Ha! That was a no-brainer! I made great use of my time that day and nearly finished my drawing of an Indian riding a horse. I couldn't help but wonder if Miss Allen, being new and all, didn't know about the "recess" rules. I hope she didn't get in trouble for letting me stay inside to draw that day! Anyway, Welcome to My World!
